1. Africa Speaks

Description: The LikeTelevision™ Movie channel proudly presents Africa Speaks - a 1935 “talkie“ documentary about Africa, complete with great white hunters in their pith helmets. Sometimes they shoot cameras - other times they shoot guns. The film is remarkable in displaying the prejudice and Political incorrectness of the period. 3. Amos and Andy - Check and Double Check

Description: It is with some hesitation... that LikeTelevision™ presents this Amos and Andy classic film - Check and Double Check. There are some high points in the film that make it more interesting from a historical perspective. It was made in 1930 and is Amos and Andy's first talkie. There's even a part that features Duke Ellington and His Cotten Club Orchestra. Oddly enough, Animator extraordinaire Seymour Kneitel (of Popeye and Casper fame).... made a cartoon with a catchy title - Chick and Double Chick. Hmmm that sounds like an interesting cartoon!

5. Battle of Algiers, The

Description: The Battle of Algiers (or La Battaglia di Algeri if you prefer the original French title) is a remarkable movie about the sublime horrors of war. Directed by Gillo Pontecorvo, this 1965 documentary tells the story of the Battle of Algiers, which pitted a French colonial government against an emerging group of revolutionary Islamic rebels, who used terrorism and suicide attacks to gain independence, but lost this battle - as the French used torture to extract information to break up and destroy the terrorist cells. Ultimately, the country did gain independence, but only after the French broke the revolutionary movement. The movie is very realistic, though no archive war footage was used in the creation of this film. The story tries to tell an unbiased review of events that transpired during this tumultuous period for the Northern African country.

The second clip in this 7 pack is called Kinky Fried Man and features Kinky Friedman as Ol Ben Lucas, the cowboy racounteur. The ditty goes like this - Ol Ben Lucas, had a lot of mucus coming right out of his nose. And now many years later - sweet Kinky Friedman is running for Governor of Texas. Only in America. Followed by the Frontier Gynecologist - a very silly comedy short. Given the passage of time - the comedy is even more weird than when it first aired.

The war room drama features Dick O'Neil as General Andrews, and Basil Hoffman as a Presidential Advisor, Larry Gelman as Reliff Guy - that is how he spells Relief. I learned it was spelled ROLAIDS. That's what they told me on tv anyway. We ask that everyone of all religions or countries - to please relax. The sentiments echoed in these clips do not mirror our own. Replete with ghosts, ghouls, disembodied heads, a vat of acid, an organ that plays itself, murder, mayhem, screaming women and theramin music, this big screen classic of the 50's is an absolute must see. So turn the lights, shut the shades and be prepared to be afraid - in the old school style.

20. Hunky and Spunky - Barnyard Brat, The

Description: The LikeTelevision™ cartoon channel presents Hunky and Spunky in The Barnyard Brat. Spunky is being the naughty little prankster, doing all kinds of practical jokes around the farm. The other animals get more upset as Spunky jokes are not funny, but spiteful. Finally, Hunky takes matters into his own hands and gives Spunky a spanking he will not soon forget. Kinda funky and Politically incorrect.

21. I Like Ike - Presidential Campaign ad

Description: LikeTelevision™ proudly presents - a wonderful blast from the past, from 1952 - the I Like Ike presidential campaign ad for Dwight D. Eisenhower, who served two terms (1953-1961) as President of the United States. This ad is a less than slick cartoon with some terrific caricatures. Ike was the 34th President and served as Supreme Commander for US troops on D-Day, the massive beach landing on the French coast that led to the end of World War II. He also served as head of NATO forces in 1951 before being aproached by Republican officials who urged him to run for President. During the Cold War, he worked hard to achieve peace during a time when the world was struggling with the terrors of Communism which were spreading fast and threatening democracies across the globe. He prosposed that the US and the Soviets exchange military information but was rebuffed. However meetings were held and the talks helped reduce tensions. Finally - we can also thank Ike for the US interstate highway system and the impact that had on our ability to travel as well as the positive economic consequences of increased interstate commerce. Yep - Dwight D. Eisenhower not only seemed like a decent fellow, I bet he was a good man too. The tone of this Political ad from 50 years ago is in sharp contrast to the ads we suffer through today - and we hope that the people who make these ads gain some insight for future presidential campaign themes.

32. Mild West, The

Description: The LikeTelevision™ Cartoon channel proudly presents - The Mild West, a silly comedy about the untamed wild west. Not to be confused with my favorite show (or one of them anyway) The Wild, Wild West with Robert Conrad as James West, secret service agent. Still, this cartoon is just as Politically incorrect and tons of fun. Like many other cartoons from the era, this one contains racial stereotyping that is often offensive to some viewers. 33. No Smoking at LikeTelevision

Description: LikeTelevision™ proudly presents - No Smoking at LikeTelevision, a cult classic from Zim Zum, the musical comedy show we created for the internet in the summer of 2000. What were we thinking? This clip features Jim Stafrani, an early user of LikeTelevision declaring that LikeTelevision is the first smoke free web site - EVER! He appears serious, though it is unclear what he is doing to the saxophone player sculpture with his wandering fingers. For an opposing view - we turn to the insanity of Zim Zum's producer, Frank Random - who had some fun with the audio from a Bill Hicks comedy routine - mixed with an old promo featuring James Arness having a drink and a smoke, and wearing boxer shorts instead of pants. Wow.. so ahead of his time. The clip ends with Dodge Benson lamenting about how he won't be able to make the payments on his cadillac now that he has been fired as host when the show was cancelled. Plus... a few beers later - he appears more honest about how he really feels about it.

An updated, more modern account of the Bram Stoker classic tale of Dracula, who played by the great Christopher Lee and his capable opponent, Van Helsing (Peter Cushing) who comes from a prominent family of vampire hunters. Lots of scary vampires, blood sucking creepies - who get smacked finally by Van Helsing and his comrades who use every - how to get a vampire trick in the book, including the thorns of a hawthorn tree, why - because a hawthorn tree was used to crown Jesus with thorns. Also harmful to vampires, water - which represents purity, a cross, light, and perhaps a few more. This film has lots of spooky action and adult situations, so please - adults only - not for kids.

38. Secret Life of Adolf Hitler
