Well, long before Peter Jackson was a big cheese in film, he made this film with his school buddies over a four year period about a group of secret government agents in charge of keeping the world safe from invading aliens from distant galaxies. The budget for the film was next to nothing though it was a step up from a bunch of his previous efforts shot on 8mm film. Peter finally got a decent camera, a hand wound 16mm Bolex that was used for this movie and a little bit of money from a grant that helped him create more elaborate special effects.Bad Taste is an amazing movie - you can see the genius of Peter Jackson on display even as a young lad. But oh my, not all is well at the school - there's a psychopathic killer on the loose. Weirder still, Jennifer Connelly has a knack for telepathically communicating with insects. The story is filled with countless twists and turns - and I bet you won't know who the killer is till part 6, and boy what a surprise that is! 38. Last Man on Earth, The

Description: The Last Man on Earth was origianlly released in Italy as L'Ultimo uomo della Terra, and later redubbed in English as The Last Man on Earth. Starring Vincent Price, this is a terrific movie from 1964 based on Richard Matheson's classic Sc-Fi novel, I am Legend. A deadly virus (actually a bacillus, a rod shaped bacterium - like Bacillus anthracis, a.k.a. Anthrax) destroys most of the human population, turning people into horrible vampire zombie creatures who feed off of human blood. Vincent Price is a scientist trying to stay alive. He searches for a cure, destroys the monsters, and finds himself as the last real man on Earth. This film clearly inspired George Romero who directed the classic - Night of the Living Dead. In addition, Matheson's I am Legend was also the inspiration for Omega Man, with Charleton Heston. There is also a rumor of a remake of this classic, but the original will be hard to beat. We loved this film, and bet you will too!

The short film does an excellent job of telling this great tale, about a man accused of trying to sabotage a bridge during the civil war. We enter the man's mind, as he imagines that the rope breaks - and he narrowly escapes the onslaught of bullets from the Union soldiers. Then he runs through an arched forest canopy - trying to return to his wife and child, who are waiting for him at his home. Most of the story takes place, during that brief few seconds, as he falls from his gallows - to the moment when his neck snaps. An incredible journey of mind.... look out, there's a sign post up ahead! Yep, this short film was also an episode of The Twilight Zone, with Rod Serling. 67. Wild Ride, The

Description: LikeTelevision™ proudly presents - The Wild Ride starring Jack Nicholson as the tough street punk, Johnny Varron. Wow - what a treat, Jack Nicholson in his second movie, circa 1960 (his debut was the Cry Baby Killer in 1958) as the alpha male in a gang of tough kids who are into racing cars. Johnny is their leader and hero who makes all the decisions for the group. For instance - Dave (Robert Bean) has a new girlfriend, and she is lame (like from the good side of the tracks) so Johnny tells Dave to lose the chick (Nancy, played by Georgiana Carter). Dave doesn't want to give up his girlfriend, so Johnny decides to move in. Of course all this ends in trouble with a capital T, as Johnny ends up killing a motorcycle cop and an extended stay at the jailhouse.
