2. Angels Hard As They Come

Description: LikeTelevision's movie channel proudly presents -Angels Hard As They Come, a classic biker movie. Warning: This film contains some gratuitous nudity, drugs and foul language, like most biker films. Angels Hard As They Come, was made in 1971, is an interesting piece of film history for a lot of reasons. Jonathan Demme produced the film and helped write the screenplay. Demme is best known for directing Philadelphia with Tom Hanks and Silence of the Lambs starring Jodie Foster as Clarice Starling and Anthony Hopkins as Dr. Hannibal Lecter. But here's a little factiod tie-in - Scott Glenn, the hero Long John in Angels Hard As They Come played Clarice's boss, Jack Crawford and Roger Corman was FBI Director Hayden Burke in Demme's film adaptation of the terrific Thomas Harris novel. Small world, huh?. Also of note, Angels Hard As They Come marks the screen debut of Gary Busey, who stars as the hippy, Henry - while in real life, he's an avid biker.

5. Attack of the Giant Leeches, The

Description: The LikeTelevision™ movie channel is proud to present The Attack of the Giant Leeches, also known as The Attack of the Bloody Leeches. One of the most ridiculous low budget horror gems in the history of film, the monster(s) is some guy dressed in a super fake suit that looks plain silly. Add a few southern bubba poacher types, a game warden, an annoying sheriff, a wandering wife - and you have the formula for confused plot. Loads of fun.

6. Battle of Algiers, The

Description: The Battle of Algiers (or La Battaglia di Algeri if you prefer the original French title) is a remarkable movie about the sublime horrors of war. Directed by Gillo Pontecorvo, this 1965 documentary tells the story of the Battle of Algiers, which pitted a French colonial government against an emerging group of revolutionary Islamic rebels, who used terrorism and suicide attacks to gain independence, but lost this battle - as the French used torture to extract information to break up and destroy the terrorist cells. Ultimately, the country did gain independence, but only after the French broke the revolutionary movement. The movie is very realistic, though no archive war footage was used in the creation of this film. The story tries to tell an unbiased review of events that transpired during this tumultuous period for the Northern African country.

They "borrow" stuff from the big humans who live above them and do everything they can to remain undetected. Things get a little crazy when Aunt Sophy's young nephew moves in. As the little Clock's learn - there's few things more dangerous than a curious little boy.

Check out IMDB for a full listing. The series - Doobious Lampoonery contains adult situations, course language and some brief nudity. As such, it is recommended for adults only. The final clip in this 7 pack is called Presidential Blame Game. George Furth plays the President of the United States, who is having some serious trouble leading his country in a time of crisis. The war room drama features Dick O'Neil as General Andrews, and Basil Hoffman as a Presidential Advisor, Larry Gelman as Reliff Guy - that is how he spells Relief. I learned it was spelled ROLAIDS. That's what they told me on tv anyway. We ask that everyone of all religions or countries - to please relax. The sentiments echoed in these clips do not mirror our own. The clips are presented as social history - to be examined given the context of two and a half decades of time.

This classic East German film - originally named Der Schweigende Stern (also named Raumschiff Venus antwortet nicht) was made in 1959 and the cinemamatic portrayal of computers and space travel is really a remarkable feat. The spaceship looks like a sleek Space Shuttle - looking more like a cool airplane than a rocketship. The computers are also very cool - and a must see for all geeks and techies.

20. Forbidden Games (Jeux Interdits)

Description: The LikeTelevision™ movie channel presents a terrific 1952 classic called Jeux interdits, which roughly translates into Forbidden Games, the English title. Brigitte Fossey plays the young Paulette, a 5 year old orphan who loses her parents as the family flees from the Nazis who are attacking Paris. They get killed by a Messerschmitt that strafes a bridge filled with civilians. Paulette get adopted by a sweet peasant family, the Dolles and she becomes good friends with their young boy about 7 or 8 named Michel Dolle (Georges Poujouly). The film tells an amazing story of the war as seen through the eyes of some beautiful children who are paying a dear price for the troubles of the world. We highly recommend this movie. Two thumbs up.

Wow - that kind of stuff seems like status quo today. This episode is more humorous than scary, you will enjoy the dialogue. Glen Gordon plays the diabolical Dr. Fu Manchu - a non Asian actor who does his level best to be Chinese. He delivers his lines in classic fashion, carefully choosing his phrases with very slow delivery as if he were some ancient Chinese Kung Fu master. 26. Harrad Experiment, The

Description: The Harrad Experiment, based on Robert Rimmer's sex manifesto of the same name, is a classic tale of how idiotic people were in the 1960s and 1970s. A group of college kids become laboratory rats to test and challenge basic notions of sex and marriage. The movie stars a very young Don Johnson, James Whitmore (best known as the Miracle Grow spokesman), and Tippi Hedren (who got her eyes pecked out in Hitchcock's The Birds - BTW, she looks better with her clothes on, and do not be frightened by her parachute sized underwear). Also stars Fred Willard as part of a comedy troup called The Ace Trucking Company. This is a very strange movie and you will shake your head, wondering - did people really believe this garbage?

27. I Like Ike - Presidential Campaign ad

Description: LikeTelevision™ proudly presents - a wonderful blast from the past, from 1952 - the I Like Ike presidential campaign ad for Dwight D. Eisenhower, who served two terms (1953-1961) as President of the United States. This ad is a less than slick cartoon with some terrific caricatures. Ike was the 34th President and served as Supreme Commander for US troops on D-Day, the massive beach landing on the French coast that led to the end of World War II. He also served as head of NATO forces in 1951 before being aproached by Republican officials who urged him to run for President. During the Cold War, he worked hard to achieve peace during a time when the world was struggling with the terrors of Communism which were spreading fast and threatening democracies across the globe. He prosposed that the US and the Soviets exchange military information but was rebuffed. However meetings were held and the talks helped reduce tensions. Finally - we can also thank Ike for the US interstate highway system and the impact that had on our ability to travel as well as the positive economic consequences of increased interstate commerce. Yep - Dwight D. Eisenhower not only seemed like a decent fellow, I bet he was a good man too. The tone of this political ad from 50 years ago is in sharp contrast to the ads we suffer through today - and we hope that the people who make these ads gain some insight for future presidential campaign themes.
