7. Dubious Lampoonery - Presidential Blame Game

Description: The LikeTelevision™ movie channel presents Doobious Lampoonery, some short video parodies from a 1977 film called American Raspberry. The list of stars in this film is seemingly endless. Check out IMDB for a full listing. The series - Doobious Lampoonery contains adult situations, course language and some brief nudity. As such, it is recommended for adults only. The final clip in this 7 pack is called Presidential Blame Game. George Furth plays the President of the United States, who is having some serious trouble leading his country in a time of crisis. The war room drama features Dick O'Neil as General Andrews, and Basil Hoffman as a Presidential Advisor, Larry Gelman as Reliff Guy - that is how he spells Relief. I learned it was spelled ROLAIDS. That's what they told me on tv anyway. We ask that everyone of all religions or countries - to please relax. The sentiments echoed in these clips do not mirror our own. The clips are presented as social history - to be examined given the context of two and a half decades of time.

9. Escape from Sobibor

Description: LikeTelevision™ proudly presents - Escape from Sobibor starring Alan Arkin, Joanna Pacula and Rutger Hauer. Sobibor was a Jewish concentration camp in World War II that was created for the sole purpose of exterminating as many Jewish people as quickly as possible - part of Hitler's notorious final solution, which called for eliminating the Jewish people from Europe. Most estimates believe that 260,000 people were killed in the Nazi gas chambers at Sobibor - making it a small sized operation compared to Auschwitz or Dachau. What makes Sobibor so noteworthy - the escape on October 14, 1943 when over 300 of the 600 Jewish prisoners escaped into the Polish death camp and lived to tell their story. The film does a remarkable job of telling the story of these determined heros - and heroines who refused to give into despair, and hoped in spite of a hopeless situation. The film was nominated for 5 Emmy Awards, and Won the Golden Globeaward n 1988 for Best Motion Picture made for TV. Excellent.
