LikeTelevision™ proudly presents - a classic car commercial - featuring the very catchy jingle - Come with me Lucille in my merry oldsmobile. This tv commercial is also a cartoon, animated by the greats at Fleischer Brothers studio, the same fellows who brought us Popeye, Betty Boop and Superman in the early days. The commercial is a long form presentation - probably initially released in theaters to play before the main feature. Parts of it are quite cheeky - especially for the day. There's a peeping tom character, and this line - you can go as far as you like with me, in my merry oldsmobile. Somehow i am not sure how one would measure mileage - ha!
