The LikeTelevision™ movie channel presents God Told Me To starring Tony Lo Bianco as Police detective Peter J. Nicholas who is trying to solve a series of random killings where the shooter claims each time that God told him to. Very weird and creepy, which is what you might expect to find in a movie with Andy Kaufman.

God Told Me To was directed by Larry Cohen who has a massive list of credits including It's Alive, The Secret Files of J. Edgar Hoover, Columbo, and NYPD Blue. The film also stars Deborah Raffin and Sandy Dennis.

Part one
Intro, Color, credits, etc The story begins with a weird credit roll sequence, and takes you right into madness, where a sniper is just picking off tons of people from a water tower. Det. Peter Nichols, played by Tony Lo Bianco is put on the case. He tries to talk the guy down, but he jumps to his death. But before he does, he tells Peter the God told him to.

Part two
The plot thickens as things getter weirder and even more gross than before, and in each case the killer says God told me to. Andy Kaufman is featured as a cop that goes whacko and starts shooting everyone in sight. And worse, this is during the St. Patrick's Day Parade in NYC - where there are a lot of innocent people getting hurt.

Part three
Detective Nichols gets deeper in the case and finds out there is a guy named Bernard Phillips that might be central to the case.
