Lawrence, better known as Lawrence of Arabia, died after a motorcycle accident in Dorset, England. Lawrence was an archeologist working in the Middle East, when he was adopted by the Arabs in their fight against the Turks. Lawrence used guerrilla tactics such as blowing up trains to help the cause. Also known for his written works, especially Seven Pillars of Wisdom - about his experiences in the Middle East.
