He gets sage advice from Andy (esp. about older women), Thelma Lou, and of course Barney. For a while - it seems Opie stole Thelma Lou from Barney. Opie's girlfriend is played by Ronda Jeter.


Opie wants to impress - so he takes his girl on a tour of the Mayberry jail.
