The LikeTelevision™ Movie channel proudly presents - Africa Screams! Abbott and Costello go to Africa with animal trainer, circus star Clyde Beatty. The boys are out to get rich on some diamonds - but they get mixed up with bad guys - including former heavyweight champ Max Baer, father of Jethro (Beverly Hillbillies). Lots of lions, trouble, and even a gorilla!

Part one
Diana Emerson (Hilliary Brooke) wants a map - and Stanley Livington (Lou Costello) can draw it. He's offered $2500 if he can deliver. We also meet 2 henchman - Boots (Max Baer - ex-heavyweight champion, The Livermore Larruper and father of Jethro Bodine) and Grappler (Buddy Baer - Max's monster sized brother). Bud Abbott is Stanley's buddy - Buzz Johnson.

Part two
In comes the great Clyde Beatty (Animal Trainer) - right before Stanley comes to deliver the map. Stanley has a great scene with Clyde - with Costello boasting about his prowess with lions. Miss Emerson decides that the boys should go to Africa and join the safari. It seems the bad guys are after some diamonds. Off to Africa - where they are attacked by crocs and assorted animals.

Part three
Livington and Johnson continue their adventures in the jungle. Deeper they trek into the jungle - looking for the lost diamond mine. Stanley befriends a huge gorilla.

Frank Buck, as himself sets a trap for the giant gorilla. Frank had a zoo in NY and was a self-proclaimed lion tamer - but really he was more of a promoter. Part four has an excellent scene with Stanley fighting lions - till he gets in trouble and has to be save by Clyde Beatty. Will Stanley and Johnson be left in the jungle to roast in a kettle - or will they be eaten by lions? and what about Diana Emerson - will she get away with her diamonds? BTW - Hillary Brooke played Lou's girlfriend on the Abbot and Costello TV show (1952). Shemp and Joe were both Stooges. In June 1935 - Max Baer won the crown for the heavyweight champion of the world.
