LikeTelevision™ proudly presents director Kenji Mizoguchi's 1953 classic tale of greed and ambition called Ugetsu (a.k.a. Ugetsu monogatari). This film features many of the same actors in Kurosawa's epic, Rashomon from 1950 - and also offers a story line that reminds one of the first tale from Kwaidan called Black Hair.

Masayuki Mori as Genjuro, the potter.

In the midst of War and unrest caused by opportunistic bandits who ransack towns, two men follow their dreams of wealth, amibition and power. While they are successful in attaining a portion of their dreams - it is at the expnse of their familes.

Tobei has got some explaining to do with the misses back home.
